A thread linking the sun-splashed city of Marseille with the mean streets of New York, Userband make emotionally resonant, bass-heavy music that’s partly inspired by 1990s rock bands. Founding members Sarah-Louise Barbett and Yann Van der Meer are joined on stage by a rotating collective of musicians, and the group released their first album Looking For A Band in 2024: a slowcore-adjacent celebration of everyday life and the little things.
