Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn

Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn is a lo-fi Welsh language band based in Mid Wales. Formed originally by members Izak Zjalic and Simon Richards during a fateful night at Maes B, additional member William P Jones joined during the creation of their first album, Ein Albwm Cyntaf Ni. The album was recorded across three different home studios around Machynlleth, adopting recording techniques from the Elephant 6 Collective’s use of Tascam cassette portastudios, and fusing it with contemporary digital production. The product is a hissy, melancholic soup of lo-fi Welsh language nostalgia, combining influences across indie, folk and hypnagogic pop. Following its release, the band begin a series of live shows, replicating the dense layers of their recorded material's discrepant textures through a DIY approach consisting of guitars, ambience, electronics and noise. Live shows also consists of textural support provided by Liam Potter (of Clwb Chess) and Hedydd Ioan (of skylrk.). The band are currently recording their second album.
