The inscrutable PopStar have nary a song released and minimal online presence, but they are already familiar faces on the London gig scene: they’ve played shows at the likes of the Windmill, Moth Club, and Shacklewell Arms, and supported My New Band Believe, the new project from black midi’s Cameron Picton. They describe themselves as “the product of the same thing over and over again”, interrogating the clichés of modern music in search of something new.
