ML Buch often uses her Peugeot SUV as a recording booth, to create otherworldly, vintage-sounding songs that retain the spirit of the late 1970s and early 1980s, most recently on 2023’s Suntub. The Danish musician, composer, and producer is part of the fertile Copenhagen underground dream pop scene (other frequenters include Smerz, Erika de Casier, and Astrid Sonne) and brings her eccentrically and evocatively titled songs — “High speed calm air tonight”, “Big sun” “Flames shards goo” — to the mountains this summer.
