Fat White Family’s Saul Adamczewski began Insecure Men in 2015 as a treasure trove for his more melodic, pop-leaning material: tuneful choruses, 1980s synth, late 1960s classic songwriting, vibraphone, organ, sax, flute — what’s happily referred to as junkshop pop. That trove became all the more precious after a period of recovery, and he released second album A Man For All Seasons last year, describing its sound as “something ghostly and submerged and distant”.
