Lie back and stare in wonder as Explorer Dome transform our Omni Tent into a planetarium to take you on a tour of the solar system sharing the exciting cosmic stories that lay within. Whilst we’re there Earthling from Gemma Arrowsmith will connect us to extraterrestrial life forms and see whether they really want to respond to messages from NASA.
Take control of the storyline for Rising Ape’s science sitcom Publish or Perish and see what happens when a ‘live studio audience’ are given the power to manage a day in the life of a scientist. Or discover about the Invention of Lesbianism with Cerys Bradley and be entertained by Dr. Jiggs Bowson’s Charming Science Friends.
Over on the Solar Stage you’ll be able to feast your ears on the science/hip hop fusion of Alex Lathbridge’s Rapstract or the dreamy sounds of Yama Warashi. Watch in amazement as the Bonkers Balloon artists twist and shape science themed balloon structures and find out from Robin Dale exactly What Does Stuff Do?
As always our Workshop Dome will be full to the brim with fantastic activities that inspire the most creative brains among you. Join Future Farm Lab who’ll challenge you to think differently about the way we grow grain forever.
And for the first time we’ll be opening our doors after hours. Once the main stage shuts, join us for an Algorave - the electronic music experience where music is generated live from computer code in front of your eyes.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the Garden this summer!
