Is Universal Basic Income the Revolution We Need?

This workshop dives into one of the most radical ideas of our time - Universal Basic Income (UBI). As economic, ecological, and social crises collide, could a no-strings-attached cash grant for all be the key to a fairer, more sustainable world? From philosophy to policy, we’ll break down the ethics, economics, and political momentum behind UBI and ask: is now the moment to rewrite the rules of society?

Neil Howard is an academic activist based at the University of Bath. He works on poverty, how we (fail to) prevent it, and what we might do about it, looking particularly at radical alternatives like basic income.
