“Fragmented folk” artist Ella Ion hails from Kaurna land, Adelaide, South Australia, where she’s been busy fine-tuning her brand of gritty, plucky music via a raft of live shows in both hemispheres. After learning classical guitar as a child and finding inspiration in folk and country music from around the world, she released her debut album Waiting in 2023, and new material has been glimpsed on the horizon.
