Part concert, part ceremony, Brighton folk-punk act The New Eves don’t so much play a gig as hold a seance. Long white handmade dresses, fake blood, improvised dance — and music too, of course, from traditional folk to drone rock and anarcho-punk, whimsical stringwork to savage guitar. They released their debut album The New Eve Is Rising last year, and indeed their primal live shows have sent them rising — soaring, even — from underground circuits to festival stages.
