Blending harmony-soaked dad rock, oddball country, and hallucinatory pop, North Wales quartet Cyn Cwsg channel the lush weirdness of Super Furries and The Lemon Twigs with a sharp, melodic edge. Their debut EP Pydru yn yr Haul — produced by Tom Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard) — finds them trading dreamy textures for wiry guitars, dry vocals, and classic songwriting instincts. Think pastoral psych, Beatles daydreams, and late-night reflections sung in both Welsh and English.
Following a BBC 6 Music Riley & Coe session in 2024, the band are quickly establishing themselves as one of the most distinctive new voices in Welsh alternative music.
