The legendary Rough Trade record shop opened in West London in 1976, on the doorstep of punk. 50 years later, they’re still here, with stores in London, Nottingham, Bristol, Liverpool, New York, Berlin and for one weekend, at Green Man. Rough Trade has been about cutting the distance between artists and fans. That’s meant unforgettable in-store gigs, exclusive vinyl collaborations, and nurturing a space where music heads and casual diggers feel equally at home. Swansea-born author, arts journalist and broadcaster Jude Rogers will be in conversation with Rough Trade shops co-owner Nigel House, and Rough Trade A&R executive Paul Jones.
