You could endlessly list music genres Stereolab embrace, from bossa nova to lounge-pop to post-rock, and you still wouldn’t pin down their sound, which remains fiercely unique despite its diversity. Formed in 1990, Stereolab released nine albums over two decades, self-producing much of their rhythmic, innovative work. They often sing in French, combining obtuse references with elements of CAN, John Cage, Nico, Tortoise, Yo La Tengo… the list goes on. See what we mean? And after a ten-year hiatus, we cannot wait to welcome Stereolab to Green Man this summer.
