“It feels so good to be back!” Metronomy exclaim on their chirpy tongue-in-cheek single of the same name. Earnest platitude, perhaps, but also a sentiment none of us will take for granted after the last couple of years. Metronomy don’t need much introduction as mainstays of the British indie-electronic scene. Their 2011 Mercury-nominated album The English Riviera celebrated its tenth anniversary with a re-release last year, while frontman Joseph Mount is in high demand as a producer and songwriter, working with artists such as Robyn. Metronomy’s seventh album Small World has now landed — and when the band return to Green Man this summer, it’ll feel so good to have them back.
