For the first time ever Little Amal is visiting Wales! Little Amal is a 12 foot puppet of a 10 year old Syrian refugee child, who has become a global symbol of human rights, especially those of refugees. Amal has travelled to 166 towns and cities in 17 countries, has met the Pope, visited the UN and European Parliament and we are delighted she is going to join us at Green Man. Wales is a Nation of Sanctuary and our very own Powys has hosted the highest number of Ukrainian refugees in Wales so let's show her a warm welcome. Little Amal is here to remind us of the many child refugees who still need our care with her message to the world “Don’t forget about us”.
Sunday 16:15
Little Amal will be leading the children's parade from Little Folk on Sunday, collecting the wishes of our Little Folk.
Sunday 23:45
Joining the Green Man burn on Sunday night, Amal will be adding her own wish for a happier, kinder future, as well as wishes from the children of Little Folk, local schools and refugee organisations in Wales.
Little Amal’s journeys are produced by The Walk Productions in association with Handspring Puppet Company.
