Ireland’s Laura Quirke and Claire Kinsella, aka Lemoncello, have a touch of the First Aid Kit magic about them, their voices rising and falling together on songs that owe as much to indie pop — think Wet Leg lyricism — as Irish folk. Finger-picked guitar runs like water through their music, against the gentle, mournful movements of the cello. With a debut album allegedly in the works, their handful of EPs have already created quite a thirst for more Lemoncello: it’s a pleasure to welcome the duo to Green Man.
