“Dance, dance, dance to the radio…” East London’s Humane The Moon takes the visceral angst (and in the case of 2023 single A Track In Orbit, the words) of Joy Division, and adds Bloc Party-style production and a distinct vocal swagger and energy. His debut EP Mythomania was an exercise in letting off steam, born out of his experiences playing live with other bands and wanting to trade mellow setlists for the palpable energy of upbeat songs: “something that makes you screw your face up a bit, run about, and let loose”.
