Keen fans of beloved Welsh pop-rock outfit Super Furry Animals might already know of their “fantasy parallel band” Das Koolies, but in 2020 it became a reality, with four of the five members detonating a “musical big bang” from their Cardiff hideaway. They released their debut album DK.01 last year: an offbeat sonic adventure that takes in everything from Purcell and MC Killa Kela to psychedelics and eccentric electronics.
