Savage by name but not by nature, Parquet Courts’ co-frontman Andrew Savage makes solo records that are refined and stately. He released his stripped-down, folk and country-adjacent second album Several Songs About Fire last year, while running from the burning home that was New York City. He took his lyrical wit and deadpan sing-speech style with him in the move to Paris, but he’s traded jangle for tranquil, on a set of songs that translate eloquently on stage.
