This year Little Folk will become The Lost City of Atlantis. Open from noon on Thursday 16th August and then from 9.30 - 18.00 every day of the festival. As always, everything is completely free.
Visit the Flotsam and Jetsam tent to create aquatic costumes for the Little Folk Parade on Sunday. Make mermaid crowns, starfish wands and shark fins with Junkfish. Discover some of the lost artefacts of Atlantis with Clay Kitchen Chaos, become a Greek God and design your own mask, spin your own seaweed with Woolly Circus, or seek out Tiny Wild Fox and help create a giant octopus.
It will be hard to miss the whale emerging from the verdant fields. Venture inside for an interactive drama piece about the dangers of plastic in our oceans.
Get those chuckle muscles working and feet wiggling with Coral's Reef family yoga. Baby Bops and Toddle Bops will provide music and sensory play for the little ones with bubbles galore. Mindful Music will be on hand for drumming workshops before Pedal Emporium takeover with their incredible range of pedal powered games and activities. And of course the day will end with Little Folk's jig-tastic, foot-stomping resident band The Brwmys.
All of this discovery makes for hungry work so Fish Finger Heaven will be ready and waiting with their Little Tiddler's menu to keep everyone's energy levels up. When you do need a little sit down Tamar Williams, Gareth Jones and Sarah Kilbride will be in the Sea Dragon telling stories of underwater adventures.
Not to mention, Little Folk’s favourite pirate crew, The Flying Seagulls will return to run their very own brand of music, circus, comedy, stilt-walking, tight-rope walking mayhem all day, every day. Rooted Forest School will also be serving up delights throughout the weekend.
Learn bushcraft, weave hazel, roast marshmallows on the fire. And if that's not enough there will be slacklining, face-painting, giant bubbles, puppet shows and a pirate ship ride. Excited? Oh yes!
