It was never in doubt, but the fantastically eclectic range of suggestions for our traditional end of year poll just goes to show what wonderful taste the discerning Green man public has!

For the second year running, a Bella Union artist came out top of the (Christmas) tree, with GM 2011 headliners Fleet Foxes narrowly beating our old friend Bon Iver into second place with their splendid second album Helplessness Blues.

In total, five of your Top 10 albums of 2011 came from artists that played this year’s sun-drenched festival in August – six if you count King Creosote’s unforgettable appearance with The Burns Unit! Speaking of which…
