Listend to lanterns on the lake, but didn't think much of them.
Walter Pardon and Fred Jordan.
Have now totally revised my opinion of Josh T Pearson, having listened to him in that band he was in. Listened to it on the way to Brecon, and it was bang on.
They are rather lovely mr ray aren't they - got into treefight yet?
Just been spotifying some of the line-up I'm not familiar with - didn't manage long with feist I have to say, or the walkmen . . . but peaking lights are doing it for me.
Danes, man, Danes. Now as for Swedes - let's have First Aid Kit back please. I still haven't managed to see them despite them playing at my local last year!
Oddly i've just been listening to gentle spirit, saw him supporting wilco in manchester last year,he was great if not a little too quiet, but should be better in the cosy confines of the ruby lounge unless you get stuck behind a pillar that is.Currently listening to The Walkmen -bows and arrows.
They rather good but very retro. Their last record - Focus in on the looking glass - brings to mind classic UK 60s psych (floyd, tomorrow, pretty things, July etc.) but they're all fressh faced young 'uns from Nashville. In fact the band is on hold while they complete their studies. Not much chance of them appearing at GM this year I'd have thought, but you never know - they'll be on their summer hols.
The new album from Howlin Rain is out next month, hopefully they will play this year and change their name to Blazin Sunshine and play in that instead the biblical downpour they played in last time!!
i seem to be listening to Dark Dark Dark, the Felice Brothers and Fiest, no idea why, and i am always listening to the 2 Johnny Flynn albums, outstanding
I've been listening to Sharon Ven Etten's new album, Tramp alot. Also the two tracks off Bowerbirds album that have been released and their first two albums to get me in the mood for the new one. If they both played Green Man this year I'd be very happy.
I am from Abergavenny and have a top USA southern style rock band coming to the UK during the Festival period. The band have played with the likes of ZZ top and Lynyrd Skynyrd in the USA. Ha! Totally agreeing with Ray Rad on 2 accounts...that rednecks called Swampdawamp are shit! And that Sharon Van Etten's Tramp is not quite as good as Epic, which is well, pretty epic.
With so many new things I could/should be listening to, I have for some reason gone back to 2010 and can't stop listening to Y La Bamba's (not to be mistaken with the documentary about Richie Valens) album called Lupon.
I caught 'em opening for Michael Kiwanuka - a sell-out gig in a very crowded Kazimier at the weekend.
They silenced the crowd (most unusual for a support act at the Kazimier) and the missus bought their ep. We've been listening to it a lot since then. They'd be great for the Green fella methinks.

You did take your time ray_rad but it's good that The Leisure Society are one of the few we can all agree on ... along with First Aid Kit.
Haven't done much listening yet but liking Dark Dark Dark and Junior Boys.
Feist is what I think of as a typical Sunday night headliner (although last year was untypical) ... better than Joanna Newsom, but not a lot.
