ALL NIGHT DISCO WRECKED MY WEEKEND

I just wanted to post the 1000th reply on this thread! Sorry

I remember some talk of loud disco music, there was some really dirty talk a bit later on, all ass to mouth action. There has always been an underlying threat of bodily harm, if we don't use the proper punctuation, I'm afraid I dozed off for a bit..

Are you, by any chance, referring to the recent Jack White song that opens with the line "She's got stickers on her knockers,"?

As an excuse to get this venerable thread back on the first page here's an amusing clip of the new Olympics mens high-jump champion in less impressive form.

Also just noticed I've got the 6666th word association post.

Sheee-iit!

Where's the clip Krasnyi?

I was looking forward to seeing  an international athlete with a Green Man worthy beard.

Sort of chap who'd reject an all night disco as unchristian  and ungodly.

Did not know where to post this-------there is an interview with Fiona Stewart about Green Man on efestivals website. She says they have sold 13,500 tickets.

I don't know where to post this but I do know that the cream de la cream of the forum frequent this thread so it seemed as good a place as any.

1) Am I correct in thinking that the capacity has been expanded from 10k to 15k this year?

2) Does anyone know if the campsite been extended accordingly?

As part of the 'advace party' for our gang, the answers to these questions will determine what time I arrive on Thursday and in turn whether I need to mentally prepare myself for a fourth day of all day excess.

Ah yes, la creme de la creme . . . .

Hadn't heard about an increase in capacity but we have this debate every year. Sincerely hope you're wrong. I assumed it was still 12,000.

There's a line in the Jarvis song C**nts Are Still Running The World: "you say the cream will always rise to the top, but i say sh*t floats".

Obviously that doesn't apply here but it always brings a smile to my face.

Re: my arrival time it looks like the weather forecast should stop a lot of the girly-men arriving early so there should be no probs finding space for our giant tents on Thursday afternoon.

I'll dig out my ANDWMW t-shirt and hopefully bump into a few of you in the pub on Thurs afternoon.

I'm so manly I'm going on Wednesday.

And I'm taking a cheap tiny tent from Tesco, three tins spam, a loaf of sunblest and bottle of cheap Spanish Brandy and a binliner.

one of the tents is so large that it has three separate rooms.

that's 1-2-3 rooms.

it has changed festivalling beyond all recognition for us.

sounds like a rival for our monster  -also three rooms I hasten to add. When i was camping last week with just my two kids I got some strangle looks from people expecting to see hordes of people emeging from its capacious confines

says it all!! Far Out After Dark.  Bring the plugs if you want to rise early.

Going to try and set up camp near the garden gate again this year - didn't notice too much noise drift from Far Out but I do tend to sleep through earthquakes.

Fergal - why aren't you climbing a mountain instead of staring at a screen!!  My excuse is I'm at work....

no, that woman has totally vanished since i got more greedy

meaning i knocked the last couple of teeth out for absolutely nothing!

Gone quiet on here now - is everybody packing?

I'm all packed.

Just the gerbils to clean out and then a beer.

Lovely clear evening here - hope it's as pleasant for those already at Glanusk
