Be a Steward at the Green Man
Want to work at The Green Man this year?
We’re looking for hardworking enthusiastic people over the age of 18 to be stewards at the Green Man Festival 2009. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who would like to get involved with the festival and experience what it’s like working behind the scenes. The job of stewarding mainly involves giving information to the public at the event: it’s a really important job because you will be the main point of contact between the festival and the public, so we need lots of happy, smiley people!
We employ people on a voluntary basis, which means that you won’t be paid anything, but you will get a free festival ticket (worth £115), plus one free meal per shift worked. Since volunteer stewards don’t work any longer than three eight-hour shifts across the entire festival weekend, this means that you’ll get time off to enjoy the event.* It’s really good fun being a steward – it’s sociable because you’ll get to meet lots of other like-minded people, and you’ll see some great music, all set in the stunning location of Glanusk Park.
To apply to be a steward at this year’s festival please fill in the application from here. You will need to upload a passport style photo, you are also required to pay a deposit of £125 to secure your place, which will be returned to you if you are not accepted, cannot make the festival or once you complete all your shifts.

*Unfortunately we can’t guarantee you time off to watch your favourite bands – it all depends on what shifts you’re allocated!
