Lets keep on topic.
Last night I went to a disco., admittedly it only went on till 4 in the morning, and I left at 2.30. However I feel that it may have wrecked my weekend. I drank vast amounts of booze and am now quite hungover.
I drank spirits in the club as the beer was pants.
However I had three really nice pints of 'Out of Step' from the Offbeat brewery, in the pub first. I also had a rather stunning pint of 'Punk IPA' from Brewdog.
Because I am spending so much time at the bar, I have become slightly obsessed by beer.
Beer and music--thats my plan for my week off.Starting with a charity night tonight five bands for a fiver and 3am finish, then over to Manchester--a few pints of real ale in the Castle and then over to the Black Twig Pickers in the night and day cafe and back to Manc on Thursday to see the mighty Wooden Shjips in sound control.Need to get in practice after amonth off the beer.
I had the chance to go to a disco last night. But I didn't want to wreck my week end. I did however win a bottle of penderyn vodka in the raffle. So my weekend will be wrecked anyhow.
I unstoppered my homemade lemon gin which has been lurking in a dark cupboard for two years for a first tasting - used it to make ultra gin and tonics.......mmmm it was sensational........very nearly wrecked my weekend.
Hello Cyfarthfa, yes, as Gil Scot Heron used to say "I'm new here."
I'm afraid no amount of noisy disco thumpin can stop me slipping into a dribbling coma once we get past midnight. I need my sleep, old age is a terrible thing.
Not personally. However dear daughter and her mates turned rather feral over the weekend and made rather more noise than some of our more civilised neighbours may have been happy with.

However, in no circumstances would I recommend eating one at the desk, without a plate or cake fork.
It was only the constant rain, rendering and college management that forced me to it.
Oh I do hope it is sunny for GM.

Sorry guys, in my opinion any kind of custard slice is a patethic effete excuse of a cake.
Real men and women (or at least those who still have all their own teeth) eat Gur Cake.
A flagon of cider and a slab of gur will see you through a day at GM, whatever the weather.

This can be very tasty, but very heavy and filling.

Has it spread beyond Gwent, or is it a strictly local delicacy?
