Yes played Glastonbury some years ago (on the jazz world stage for some reason). I spotted dear old John Peel in the crowd during their set (of course I simply happened to be passing by). The look on Peel's face was priceless.
Controversially I'd just like to say that early Genesis records don't count as terrible. They're rather good.
The Wall, by pink floyd (of course) on the other hand is a turkey of epic proportions. Shamefully it is to be found in my collection, but I never listen to it.

He played my home town some years ago - a typical small town next door to Liverpool, "the sort of place where people still point at aeroplanes in the sky" according to JCC! There couldn't have been more than fifty people. At the end he exited stage front and joined those who hung around for a drink. Then it was all back to my friend's gaff with JCC tagging along. He finished up spending the night on the sofa. A lovely bloke, completed unaffected and genuinely interested in other people's lives, loves, jobs etc.
First time I saw JCC was during the Peoples March for Jobs in 1981 at the Wythenshawe Forum, countless times since....took the kids to see Simon Armitage in the Lit tent last year, only to discover he had been replaced by JCC....it was the first time I ever had to walk away from one of his gigs; for the children's sake - he was that good!
Mind you, the kids thought he was really funny....
F***ing crap weather wrecked my weekend. Just beaten strategic and temporary retreat from the Lunar Festival in the face of 30+ hours of persistent rain and predicted night-time temperature of 3C. Back tomorrow for the tent and hopefully some more music. F***ing crap climate. Good job we only live 20 minutes drive away. Lovely site, lovely people (half of whom we know, it's like Kings Heath in the countryside), very chilled as wel as very damp.
Feel for you Krasnyi,last year we had one festival cancelled due to rain and one festival which had two stages blown down----hoping the forecast changes for no direction home next weekend but it looks grim at the moment.
oh that is sad. Must have been bad for the weather to have beaten you. Weirdlore, the day festival I was meant to go to in Bristol has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Hope things start looking up soon.

The organisers have already pledged themselves to doing it again next year but they must have taken a bit of a hit even though they only needed to sell 300 camping tickets to break even. My highlight was having a chat by the campfire with Gareth Bonello (the Gentle Good) and asked him if he was playing with Richard James. Yes, he peplies, this is Richard, introducing the guy next to him, reducing me to paroxysms of 'oh wow, Gorky's were my favourite band ever in the whole world' type stuff. Two lovely and patient blokes. Nice set too. Looking forward to hearing them in their more psychy form at Green Man. Cyfarthfa - what does 'Pob hiyl' mean?
Krasnyi, I think he probably said 'pob hwyl' . In this context it means 'good bye; or 'all the best', but in other contexts 'hwy'l means a bit more too. Hwyl is a wonderful word. Someone once said it was the one word that sums up being Welsh- a combination of belonging and pasion. Also applied to inspired preacher in full flow, a brilliant musical or other performance, a state of good mental and physical health. Another form is:

Note to Green Man - book the Old Dance School for next year - great festival music and (at the risk of annoying some on here) it would be nice to get a bit more folky stuff back on the bill. Also very impressed with Rachel Sermanni (that might be spelled wrong).
