Has anyone done the holiday camping thing and gone to the festival early?
I was just wondering if it would it be possible to turn up on the Wednesday eve and therefore avoid the Thursday morning queues?
I know £40 for one nights camping is a bit of an indulgence but I hate queues and like sleep!
Cheers

Just noticed your post now
Just noticed your post now dibbul - new threads aren't highlighted in the same way and new posts on existing threads - another forum silly.
Can't see anything wrong with your suggeston. If you wanted to save some of the cost you could always camp somewhere else locally and be the first in the queue on Thursday morning? - or alternatively curb your enthusiam and arrive a bit later when the queues have cleared a bit ?
The queues on Thursday really
The queues on Thursday really aren't bad. We usually arrive around 2.00 and have never had to wait more than 20 minutes or so.
I couldn't curb my enthusiam,

I'd say it's not really worth
I'd say it's not really worth it, because the queues on the Thursday aren't bad enough to pay £40 to avoid them, to be honest, at least I don't think so. I guess it depends how far away you're coming from/what time you're able to get there on Thursday and it's totally up to you, but I always get there between 10-12 and rarely have to wait more than a few minutes. Even later in the afternoon it doesn't really get that bad.
