Second festivals?

Forums:

This is our early summer second festival - just about 20 minutes down the road, capacity 500, decent looking line up!

BFL's a dull live act (not headline material) but there are some good acts a little lower down the bill.

Going to End Of The Road this year as a steward but that's not much different from GM. Will probably end up going to Festibelly (local festival - not worth looking up) but not for the music. Would like to try and make it to La Route Du Rock as I have £100 worth of Britanny Ferry vouchers. But if there are any good and dirt cheap festivals, a reccomendation would be lovely.

We're kind of viewing the Lunar Fest as a long camping weekend with some live music thrown in and a short drive home. And only £65.

Going to work a couple, a friend of mine has a food concession, (Tibetian Kitchen) and am doing it to spend a bit of time with some old work colleagues, who are also going to work it with us. I'm doing Secret Garden, not sure which other one though.

Primavera does have a consistently great line-up, and it sure is a nice bonus that on the whole you can comfortably wander around all night in a t-shirt as the weather that time of year in Barcelona is generally pretty damn pleasant. It is very much an urban festival though, set in the heart of the city, without the whole campsite experience, or any mountains, trees, rivers, or even much in the way of grass that Green Man enjoys. On the other hand, it is beside the Mediterranean Sea. Very different experiences really, but I enjoy both. Primavera is solely about the music really, and has none of the quirky stuff that Green Man has, like Einstein's Garden, or comedy and literature tents etc. Neither does it have the real ale and cider, Pieminister and Goan fish curry, or for that matter, the mud. Both have good atmosphere in their own way, but Green Man probably scores higher for friendliness being so much smaller

Cheers for that  - I suppose the accomodation and travel will more than balance out the low ticket price. But then again, Barcelona. And no rain. Maybe in 5 years :)
