Nathan Filer is a writer, poet and mental health nurse. His debut novel The Shock of the Fall, published on 9th May 2013, is an extraordinary portrait of one man’s descent into mental illness. It is a brave and groundbreaking novel from one of the most exciting new voices in fiction.

In this event Nathan will read excerpts from The Shock of the Fall and talk about the novel in conversation with Kate Button, Research Psychologist at the University of Bristol.
