King Porter Stomp

King Porter Stomp are a Brighton based 7 piece juggernaut of upbeat funk, ska, dub and hip hop. Their combination of soaring horns, heavy funky baselines, socially aware lyrics and world rhythms create a genuinely original, natural fusion of styles that’s end result is pure jump up genius.
Renowned for their eclectic and energetic live shows in 2011 they were commissioned by the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London to co-write and perform the music for a brand new contemporary production. Running for several months the show and the band received superb press reviews which significantly raised their profile and made their music accessible to brand new audiences.
Laying the foundations for a highly successful 2012, they embarked upon a 14 date UK tour in the Autumn to support the release of their video and new single ‘Let It All Out’ which quickly clocked up over 10,000 views, before hibernating in the studio to record their eagerly awaited second album. The summer to 2012 will see them unveil a brand new catalogue of contagious grooves and conscious rhymes that will no doubt be made to inspire and move audiences across the world.
King Porter Stomp have laid strong foundations for a highly successful 2012.
