DJ Parker

First starting his rise smashing chumps via DJ battles, Bristol’s Parker soon turned his hand to production gaining “lofty comparisons to the marvellous RJD2″. The driving soul and deep bass of his debut album To Eternity was described by DJ Magazine as having thrown “stylistic doors open wide with deliciously pleasing results”.
This exploration of different musical realms is what defines Parker, and what makes him “uncategorisable”. After the blissed out beats of his early work Parker ran full pelt into to more bottom end frequencies. Amongst his numerous bass laden treats, Parker’s remixes of James Brown and Bjork both topped the Hype Machine Chart, whilst ‘Where’s My Monkey?’ made him a household name. Parker’s accomplished and varied production has also been used to effect by the BBC, EA Sports and Playstation.
2011 saw Parker make another sidewards shift into pastures new, joining forces with fellow Bristolian Boca45 as one half of The Beekeepers. The result was ‘Apiculture’ a feast of chilled out beats, hip hop production and dubby bass which featured a myriad of delicious vocal sounds from leading lights in the UK scene.
